- To make the meatballs, mix the beef, onions, bread crumbs, eggs, salt, sugar, pepper and milk together. Shape into 1 1/2 inch balls. Brown in olive oil
- Remove meatballs from pan. Save drippings for gravy
- To make gravy, blend flour into the pan with the leftover drippings on low heat.
- Slowly stir in stock and bring to a boil, stirring often.
- After gravy comes to a boil, stir in lemon juice and bay leaves.
- Put meatballs back into the gravy and cook slowly for 1 hour.
- Serve over egg noodles
Notes
** I added some beef bouillon to the gravy to amp up the flavor a bit.
