
Herbed Short Ribs
Ingredients
- 3 pounds short ribs
- flour
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 Tbsp ketchup
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1/4 tsp thyme
Instructions
- In a skillet, heat olive oil.
- Dredge ribs in flour
- Brown in oil until well browned
- Place in a casserole dish
- In a small bowl, mix onion, ketchup, salt, pepper and thyme. Pour over ribs
- Bake covered at 300° for 1.5 hours.
- Remove ribs to a platter, put pan juices/sauce in a small saucepan, bring to a boil.
- Mix 1 Tbsp of cornstarch and 1 Tbsp water together. Add to pan juices to thicken
- Serve ribs with gravy
