Crock Pot Apples

Based on Hungry Girl's Scoopable Apple Pie Recipe

Equipment

  • Crock Pot or Slow Cooker

Ingredients
  

  • 3 pounds apples, peeled and sliced
  • 2 Tbsp cornstarch
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 3 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamom
  • 1/4-1/2 tsp nutmeg or to taste
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions
 

  • Place apples in slow cooker.
  • In a bowl, mix together cornstarch and water. Whisk to dissolve. Add in brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt. Whisk to combine.
  • Pour over apples in crockpot.
  • Cook on high for 2 1/2 to 3 hours
  • Serve with redi whip or ice cream

    1. Funny you should ask – I froze them for the first time when I made them a few weeks ago and just took them out of the freezer today! They seem to be perfect!
