Apple Cider Donuts
A fall favorite here in NJ!Makes 6

Ingredients
Donuts
- 3/4 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- dash nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup apple cider
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1 1/2 tsp butter, melted
Topping
- 3 Tbsp sugar
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 2 tsp butter, melted
Instructions
Donuts
- Preheat oven to 350. Spray a donut pan with non stick spray
- In a medium bowl, mix together flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Stir or whisk until well combined
- Add cider, egg, vanilla and melted butter.
- Stir or whisk until well combined.
- Divide batter evenly into 6 count donut pan using either a spoon or a piping bag.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes. Do not overbake
- Let cool for 5-7 minutes. Remove from pan.
Topping
- Combine sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.
- Melt butter.
- Brush butter on one side of donut and dredge in cinnamon sugar mixture. Brush other side and do the same.
- If you want to freeze them, do so before adding the topping. When you want to use, defrost and add topping before eating.
