Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 3/4 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup crushed saltine crackers
  • 4 cube steaks
  • 2-3 Tbsp oil of choice
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup milk

Method
 

  1. In a plastic bag or bow, combine flour, salt and pepper.
  2. Place buttermilk in a shallow bowl
  3. Place saltine crumbs in a plastic bag or bowl.
  4. Coat steaks with flour mixture, then dip into buttermilk and coat with crumbs.
  5. In a large skillet over medium high heat cook steaks in hot oil for 2 to 3 minutes until golden brown and cooked through
  6. Remove and keep warm
  7. Add soup and milk to pan and bring to a boil, stirring to loosen brown bits from bottom of the pan. Serve gravy with steaks
