Shepherd’s Pie

Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/2 lb potatoes peeled, cubed and cooked
  • 1 Tbsp butter
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 10 oz Beef gravy – jar or homemade
  • 10 oz frozen peas and carrots, cooked

Instructions
 

  • Mash potatoes with milk, butter and salt and pepper. Set aside.
  • Brown beef and onion in a skillet. Drain. Add gravy and veggies. Mix well.
  • Put meat mixture in an 8×8 or 9×9 inch pan.
  • Spread mashed potatoes evenly on top.
  • Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes.

  1. Do you buy canned beef gravy? Is it regular gravy or au jus? I am so happy I found you. I need to find family friendly recipes that are not all Mexican or chicken. I watched your video on the barbecue chicken wrap. The barbecue sauce is sold out by me. Is the barbecue dry rub a store bought item or is there a recipe. I just finished my 2nd week of WW. Thank you for all of your effort!

    1. Yes! I just use canned beef gravy! And the rub recipe is on my website. It’s under “other”. You are using such a small amount of BBQ sauce, I think regular would be just fine without messing with points!
